Tracker and Marshals secured the top spot for non-sports programming on broadcast television, while 60 Minutes ranked second. Since the year 2000, a sixth episode of the show has never failed to attract at least 7 million total viewers.

The series has also consistently maintained a minimum of 1 million viewers in the advertiser category for every sixth episode since 2000. A 9 percent rise in total viewership occurred after the show underwent a restructuring at the conclusion of last season.

Bari Weiss replaced executive producer Tanya Simon with Nick Bilton. The network also removed Scott Pelley, Cecilia Vega, and Sharyn Alfonsi from the production.

Anderson Cooper departed the show voluntarily after his contract expired. Ross Douthat, Ariel Levy, and Sebastian Junger joined the show as new replacements.

Recent episodes included a report on the Trump administration's attempts to deport individuals to countries where they lack connections. Interviews with Colorado Governor Jared Polis and Tina Peters were also featured in the broadcast.
