The agreement focuses on providing farmers with balanced nutrient use and access to high-quality agricultural inputs. Community development initiatives are also included in the pact, which merges the agricultural knowledge of Engro Fertilizers with the community development experience of Mari Energies.
A framework has been established for the two companies to jointly plan, implement, and review various programmes for local residents and farming communities. The collaboration covers a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, environmental sustainability, and vocational training for youth employability.
Additional areas of cooperation include sports, leadership programmes, and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning. Faheem Haider, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mari Energies Limited, said, "Supporting the communities around our areas of operation has long been a priority for Mari Energies. This partnership with Engro Fertilizers allows us to build on that commitment by combining our community development experience with their agricultural expertise."
The project expands on previous work by Mari Energies in infrastructure, sustainable livelihoods, and healthcare. Haider added that the companies aim to improve productivity through quality inputs while creating opportunities in education and sports.
