MCCI leadership unveiled a 100-day action plan aimed at improving business facilitation following the assumption of new leadership roles. Dr Shafiq Patafi announced this 100-day action plan, which concentrates on digitising chamber services, bolstering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and strengthening overall business facilitation.

Dr Shafiq Patafi addressed the chamber’s 67th Annual General Meeting after taking up his new post. The election manifesto will guide the leadership, with plans to gradually digitise membership services, the chamber’s website, and its mobile application.

These digital upgrades are intended to provide easier access to documents such as visa letters and certificates of origin. Key long-term goals include developing the Multan Industrial Estate and the Multan Expo Centre.

Furthermore, the plan pledges greater support for SMEs, assistance with banking and letter-of-credit matters, and stronger coordination with other trade bodies and chambers. The plan also calls for increased involvement from women and youth in economic development and chamber activities.

Dr Patafi stated that political and group differences from the election period have concluded, urging the business community to now work together. Mian Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh appreciated the services provided by the outgoing president, Mian Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh, and his team.

During his two-year term, Mian Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh concentrated on identifying business issues, pursuing resolutions with relevant institutions, promoting ease of doing business, and boosting SME, youth, and women participation. The election commission formally announced the results.

Dr Shafiq Patafi, Senior Vice President Azhar Mumtaz Tipu, and Vice President Sheikh Abdul Wahab assumed their respective offices.
