Baidu held a product briefing for the Baidu app in Beijing on 30 October to announce an upgraded search AI API.
Baidu claimed that the new iteration has improved efficiency by more than 80 percent and increased data credibility by over 50 percent. The promotional pricing remains available until 31 December, while the standard list price is set at 40 yuan. Customers can make repeated purchases to reach a cumulative total of 1 million calls.
A flagship package is priced at 9.9 yuan per 1,000 calls, a reduction from the previous price of 72 yuan. Baidu stated the AI capability covers more than 170 tool scenarios and provides interactive results pages in five times as many scenarios as before.
The system draws on more than 5 billion data resources from the central bank, public utilities, and government services, according to Baidu. Baidu noted that the AI camera can now track multiple objects simultaneously and hold live conversations in nine Chinese dialects, including Cantonese, Sichuanese, and Northeastern.
The content layer utilizes an index of hundreds of billions of quality pages and supports more than 80 languages, Baidu said.
