The Supreme Court of Pakistan, in a recent statement to the press, confirmed that there are currently no pending cases related to pre-arrest or post-arrest bail.
In its latest endeavor to expedite justice particularly concerning personal liberty issues and uphold citizens’ rights, Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan led a bench of the Court in addressing 226 such cases. During these hearings scheduled over two weeks ago on May 5th & 10th as well as before June 3rd, no bail matters were left unresolved.
This decisive action by Pakistan’s highest court underscores its persistent commitment to transparent and timely legal proceedings. Furthermore, it brings relief amidst the backdrop of a historic agreement with India that facilitated accessibility for Sikh pilgrims on Kartarpur Corridor.
