The Sindh government has ordered a comprehensive audit of all public college facilities across the province. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Nadeemur Rehman Memon, Secretary for College Education in Sindh. The audit aims to address reports that furniture, computers, and laboratory items were missing from several institutions.

During the meeting, officials reviewed purchases made for government colleges over the 2021-2025 fiscal years. Nadeemur Rehman Memon instructed all government college principals to conduct a physical verification of the supplied furniture, computers, and laboratory items. They were directed to submit certificates confirming their receipt within a specified timeframe.

In response to reports of missing items, the secretary ordered notices to be issued to former drawing and disbursing officers and contractors concerned. He also directed officials to take legal action against anyone found responsible for any discrepancies or mismanagement. The meeting further approved the creation of a province-wide database containing details of infrastructure, facilities, and requirements for every government college.

The secretary emphasized the importance of compiling accurate information within a specified period to support future development planning. This initiative is part of broader efforts to ensure that public education in Sindh receives adequate resources and support. The audit will help identify gaps and areas requiring immediate attention, ensuring that students have access to necessary facilities and equipment.

The decision reflects the government's commitment to transparency and accountability in educational institutions. By conducting a thorough review of all college facilities, officials hope to address any issues and ensure that public colleges are adequately equipped for teaching and learning.
