Additionally, PM Shehbaz announced that a Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre will be set up in Gilgit to facilitate convenient public services for the people of GB.

Chief Minister Hussain was elected unopposed by the GB Assembly on June 22, with support from the PPP and PML-N, mirroring the federal government’s coalition arrangement. His appointment marks a significant step towards regional governance under the current political landscape in Pakistan.

During the meeting, PM Shehbaz also congratulated Hussain on his new role, expressing confidence in his ability to lead GB effectively. The prime minister’s assurance of close collaboration and support for GB’s development initiatives underscores the federal government’s commitment to addressing the region’s needs and fostering its growth.
