The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued stern warnings against illegal construction and transactions on plots reserved for public amenities in Jinnah Garden-I Housing Scheme, Zone-5. The move comes amid regulatory concerns over the use and conversion of amenity plots in private housing schemes.
In a public notice, CDA stated that any allotment, transfer or construction on the identified amenity plots would have no legal validity. The authority advised citizens to verify land status before entering into property transactions.
According to CDA, one of the disputed plots was reserved for a school under the approved layout plan of Jinnah Garden-I dated April 9, 2011. The authority said the land was required to be transferred to CDA and sponsors had been directed to complete the transfer process through official communications issued in August and December 2025.
In another notice, CDA highlighted a structure constructed on land reserved for a playground. The authority stated that the playground plot had already been transferred to CDA through Transfer Deed No. 14313 dated November 16, 2011, making it part of CDA-owned property.
CDA’s official records show that the layout plan of Jinnah Garden Phase-I was cancelled in 2018 and its No Objection Certificate (NOC) has not been issued. The authority continues efforts to enforce planning regulations and protect land designated for public amenities.
The CDA's actions are part of a broader campaign aimed at informing residents about the legal status of land reserved for public facilities and preventing unauthorized transactions.
