Prince Harry Names Harry Styles Most Famous Harry in U.K.

Prince Harry Names Harry Styles Most Famous Harry in U.K.

Key Takeaways

  • Prince Harry ranks Harry Styles as the most famous Harry in the United Kingdom.
  • Styles has achieved multiple No. 1 hits and set a record at Wembley Stadium.
  • Harry Kane and J.K. Rowling’s character, Harry Potter, rank higher in online searches.

In an interview on James Corden's After Hours podcast, Prince Harry conceded that Harry Styles is the most famous Harry in the United Kingdom, despite his own royal status.

The youngest son of King Charles initially hesitated to answer the question, quipping, 'There’s a conflict of interest here,' before ultimately naming Styles as first and Harry Kane second.

Styles has made significant strides in the music industry, achieving four No. 1 songs and three No. 1 albums on the U.K. charts, with his single 'As It Was' topping the Billboard Global 200 for 15 weeks.

His recent record-breaking performance saw him play at Wembley Stadium for a historic 12 nights in July, cementing his status as a cultural icon in the country.

However, when gauging fame levels through online search trends, both Kane and J.K. Rowling’s character Harry Potter rank higher than Styles and Prince Harry.

Kane, who led England to a third-place finish at the World Cup, saw his name average a far greater search volume in the U.K. on Google Trends during the past month.

Harry Potter, the fictional wizard from J.K. Rowling’s books, has been consistently more popular online, ranking significantly higher than both Styles and Prince Harry over the past year.

Prince Harry joked that he and Styles would settle their tie with a Quidditch match, highlighting the playful nature of the debate.
