Germany secured a 2-0 victory over Serbia in their match play. Florian Wirtz and Tom Bischof contributed the goals for the German side.

The German team previously recorded a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands and suffered a 1-0 loss to Greece. Klopp selected an entirely new starting eleven for the match against Serbia.

Wirtz netted the initial goal shortly before the half-time interval. The second goal was scored by Wirtz.

Mika Baur became the 1,000th player to represent Germany. Following the game, Klopp stated, "The mix of football and attitude was top level today. I told the boys that this has to be our benchmark."

Bischof commented on the coach, noting, "Jurgen is a coach that pulls people along with him. We saw that today and I hope it continues into the future." Klopp also remarked, "The rhythm has to be: easy, easy, easy, Flo, Flo, Flo, Wirtz, Wirtz, Wirtz."
