At least one person died and two others were injured after a portion of a two-storey building collapsed near the New Nazimabad Flyover on Manghopir Road in Karachi on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Rescue 1122 reported that the roof of a small confectionery shop at a street corner near Shabbir Medical collapsed during construction work.

Rescue 1122’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Abid Shaikh, stated that three victims were recovered from the debris and moved to a hospital. One source identified the deceased as 45-year-old Abdul Bari, son of Abdul Aziz, while another source stated the deceased was a 43-year-old man who was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by Edhi.
