Riphah International University has expanded its global footprint through strategic agreements with three leading Turkish institutions, marking a significant step in its internationalization journey.
The agreements were signed at a high-level reception held on September 14, 2026, at Islamabad Club, Islamabad, Pakistan.
Representatives from Riphah included Chancellor Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Yawar Hayat Khan, Head of International Office Mr. M. Nauman Mansoor, and Dean FSSH Prof. Dr. Abdulhamit Birışık.
The Turkish universities involved are Yıldız Technical University, established in 1911; Dokuz Eylül University, founded in 1982; and Sabancı University, established in 1994.
These institutions are recognized for their excellence in engineering, science, and technology, research, and interdisciplinary education.
The agreements extend beyond academic exchange, creating new avenues for joint research, faculty and student mobility, knowledge sharing, and cross-border innovation.
The event was also attended by senior academic leaders from Pakistan and Türkiye, including Chairman HEC, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (S.I.), and Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu.
Through these collaborations, Riphah aims to strengthen its global academic network and contribute to deeper and more sustainable higher education cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye.
