Donald Trump held an event in Oklahoma on Thursday while supporting gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei. The former president travelled from Texas to Oklahoma on Thursday as part of his ongoing campaign activities.

Trump is currently undertaking a 32-day campaign blitz across various states. Reports indicate that Trump's approval rating currently stands at an all-time low.

Voters express anger regarding the cost of living, the conflict in Iran, and strict immigration enforcement. Steve Schmidt stated that Trump’s signature campaign rallies represent the 'engine of his doom'.

Schmidt further claimed that Trump’s presence negatively impacts every Republican candidate because the election fundamentally concerns Trump. Blake Marnell stated that Trump enjoys the rallies because they energise both the crowd and himself.

Marnell dismissed the idea that Trump's rallies harm Republicans, asserting that turnout remains the primary objective. During the Oklahoma event, Trump addressed two devoted supporters, calling them 'big, strong, handsome Oklahoma studs'.

Trump also asked the assembled audience to 'Pretend I’m running, please'. Data from an Associated Press-Norc Center for Public Affairs Research survey showed that only 17% of US adults approve of Trump’s management of the cost of living.

The same survey found that 26% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the economy. A major Republican political action committee reportedly reduced its spending in North Carolina.

The committee subsequently redirected its financial resources towards Kansas. Trisha Hope declared Trump a 'fraud and liar'.

Hope cited Trump’s abrupt dismissal of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and his failure to deliver on promises about the war in Iran. Trump maintained that Joe Biden bears sole responsibility for inflation.

John Zogby stated that Trump is disconnected from the reality experienced by most Americans. Zogby further argued that Trump’s rally performances have shown a noticeable decline.

Texas attorney general Ken Paxton admitted to donors that Trump’s midterm convention in Dallas damaged Republican prospects. Trump praised Ken Paxton during the event held in Denton.

Trump's initial campaign itinerary includes Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio, and Nebraska over the first five days of October. Schmidt observed that campaigning in those states during October suggests losing in a 'biblical sense, an end-times sense'.

Generic congressional polls suggest Democrats maintain a lead approaching double digits.
