Water bottles mocking Andy Burnham were visible at the Conservative party conference in Birmingham, England. Party workers distributed these water bottles to journalists, featuring the slogan “bottler Burnham” above a cartoon by Chow.

Stanley Chow claims the Conservative party utilised his cartoon without obtaining necessary permission. Furthermore, Chow stated that the Tory party bears no excuse for failing to check copyright regulations.

Chow initially created a cartoon depicting the prime minister for campaign material during the Makerfield byelection in early June. Watching Sky News allowed Chow to first become aware that the cartoon was being used.

Chow also stated that he had requested an apology from the Conservatives. Colin Bell asserted that using the artwork without consent constitutes a clear instance of copyright infringement.

Bell advised that Stan is entitled to an injunction, undertakings to cease and desist, compensation, and a public apology. Reform UK subsequently employed Chow's cartoon in an attack advertisement on social media targeting the prime minister.
