Islamabad health officials intensify dengue surveillance across federal capital

The District Health Office Islamabad has bolstered its dengue surveillance operations throughout the federal capital. Field teams are currently visiting various locations to pinpoint potential sites where mosquitoes might breed.
Workers are inspecting water storage areas to eliminate mosquito larvae and reduce the risk of disease transmission. Monitoring efforts include ensuring that dengue prevention standard operating procedures are being followed.
Officials are also tracking adherence to guidelines designed to limit opportunities for mosquito reproduction. Surveillance activities also involve addressing complaints submitted by the public.
September to November represent the peak period for dengue transmission in the region. Residents have been instructed to maintain clean surroundings and drain stagnant water from rooftops and containers.
