The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) collected Rs13.123 billion from Sales Tax on Services and Industrial Development Charges (IDC) during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27. Specifically, the collection from Sales Tax on Services (STS) reached Rs12.666 billion between July and September 2026.

This STS revenue marked a 24 percent rise compared to the Rs10.210 billion gathered during the same period in the preceding financial year. Conversely, the IDC collection saw a drop, falling to Rs457 million during July to September 2026, down from Rs2.242 billion the previous year.

This decline in IDC collection represents an 80 percent decrease. Overall, the combined revenue from STS and IDC for July to September 2026 amounted to Rs13.123 billion, marking a 5 percent increase over the Rs12.452 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025-26.

Examining the monthly figures, STS collection hit Rs4.650 billion in September 2026, which is a 35 percent increase compared to the previous year's September figure. Meanwhile, IDC collection in September saw an 82 percent fall, reaching Rs157 million.

Furthermore, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faced a cumulative revenue shortfall of Rs1.785 billion under IDC across the first three months of FY 2026-27, attributed to the closure of the Afghan border.
