Uzbekistan's trade turnover with member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) exceeded $9 billion by the end of 2025. This figure represents a substantial increase from the approximately $4.2 billion in trade recorded with the same group in 2019.
The country is playing a significant role in advancing the practical economic agenda of the OTS, which serves as a platform for trade expansion, transport connectivity, and technological cooperation. A multi-tier structure, including the Council of Heads of State, Council of Foreign Ministers, Committee of Senior Officials, Council of Elders, and the Secretariat, supports the institutional development of the organization.
The 2022 Samarkand Summit led to the creation of the Turkic Investment Fund and a broader economic cooperation agenda, following the adoption of the "Turkic Vision–2040" strategy in 2021. Member states collectively represent about 178 million people and possess a combined nominal gross domestic product exceeding $1.8 trillion.
Foreign trade turnover among these nations is more than $1.1 trillion, while intra-organizational trade reached approximately $22–23 billion, according to the OTS Secretariat. Joint investment projects between Uzbekistan and Türkiye are estimated to exceed $5 billion, with more than 2,000 enterprises involving Turkish capital operating in Uzbekistan.
The combined digital economy of the OTS member states is estimated to exceed $110 billion, with several participating countries recording annual sectoral growth rates of 12–18 per cent. Uzbekistan's exports of IT services surpassed $1 billion by the end of 2025.
