The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced fully funded PhD scholarships for students to study in the United States. These awards are provided under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, which seeks to strengthen academic ties between the two nations.

Applicants can pursue doctoral studies at universities ranked within the Top 100 by QS World Rankings. The HEC divided the scholarships into two distinct categories based on university ranking.

Students admitted to universities ranked in the Top 50 will receive full tuition coverage, an annual stipend of USD 19,000, and USD 2,000 for health insurance. For institutions ranked between 51 and 100, the scholarship provides up to USD 12,000 per year for tuition fees along with stipend and health insurance.

October 30, 2026, serves as the deadline for the Spring/Summer 2027 intake, while the Fall 2027 intake deadline is March 30, 2027. Candidates must submit their applications online via the HEC scholarship portal at http://scholarship.hec.gov.pk.
