Lt Gen Nauman Zakaria, the ARFC commander, appreciated the dedication and technical prowess of the scientists and engineers involved in the project.

The test launch was also congratulated by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with service chiefs.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the nation on the success of the test, stating that the scientists and engineers had achieved a commendable feat.

This comes after the successful test launch of the extended version of the Fatah-IV ground-launched cruise missile last week, which was also equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids.

The Fatah-2 ER, with its extended range, is expected to further enhance the army's reach and capability of engaging deep targets, the ISPR added.
