Key Takeaways

  • Edifier has introduced the We-Bass, a new pair of open-ear wireless earbuds.
  • The earbuds feature 12mm drivers and support up to 20 hours of battery life.
  • They include AI-powered noise reduction and translation across 21 languages.

Edifier, a well-known audio brand, has launched the We-Bass, a new pair of open-ear wireless earbuds. The earbuds are priced at around $60 in China and are designed to offer a comfortable and flexible fit.

The We-Bass features a unique design with a flexible nickel-titanium alloy wire that wraps around the outside of the ear. This design has survived over 10,000 bending tests while maintaining its original shape, ensuring durability and comfort.

Edifier has equipped the We-Bass with 12mm long-stroke dynamic drivers. Since open-ear earbuds do not create a seal inside the ear canal, the company uses a dynamic bass compensation algorithm to adjust low-frequency output in real time. Additionally, a dedicated acoustic chamber directs sound toward the ear canal to reduce audio leakage.

For calls, the earbuds use AI-powered noise reduction along with a wind detection algorithm. Edifier claims that the system can reduce wind interference at speeds of up to 28 km/h, making outdoor calls more comfortable.

The We-Bass supports Bluetooth 6.1 and can connect to two devices at the same time through multipoint connectivity. A dedicated gaming mode lowers latency to around 50ms, ensuring smooth gameplay.

Battery life is a key feature of the We-Bass, offering up to five hours of playback from the earbuds themselves. The charging case adds another 15 hours, bringing total battery life to 20 hours. The earbuds are currently available in China for 399 yuan, or roughly $60.

The earbuds also come with advanced AI features, including real-time voice assistance through both DeepSeek and Doubao AI models. They offer translation across 21 languages, including face-to-face and side-by-side translation modes, making them useful for international communication.

For those who travel frequently, the We-Bass provides a convenient solution with its versatile features and long battery life. The earbuds are designed to cater to a wide range of users, from casual listeners to gamers and travelers.
