Nazar Abbas, who remains in his current position as Additional Director General (Electoral Rolls) at the ECP Secretariat, has also been promoted to BS-20.
All four promoted officers will be on probation for a period of one year, as per the Civil Servants Act, 1973 and the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973. The subsequent Rule 21(2) provides that the period of probation may be extended for a period not exceeding one year as may be specified at the time of appointment.
