The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has intensified development work in three key residential sectors of Islamabad: E-12, I-12, and C-14. The focus is on infrastructure, road networks, and civic facilities to enhance urban planning.
During a visit to Sector E-12 on Friday, CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and directed relevant officers to expedite the development work.
The authority has retrieved more than 1,000 kanals of state land in E-12, valued at billions of rupees, describing this as a significant step towards protecting public property and facilitating planned development.
Development activities are also continuing in I-12 and C-14, where the CDA is focusing on infrastructure and residential facilities. This includes road construction and rehabilitation, improvements to major road networks, and the construction and improvement of underpasses and pedestrian bridges.
The initiatives are being pursued under the directions of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the supervision of the CDA chairman. The chairman was accompanied by the director general (Works), chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, additional deputy commissioner (General), project director, and the relevant assistant commissioner during the visit.
The CDA has also highlighted initiatives involving Park Enclave, parks, lakes, landscaping, and horticulture, aimed at improving public spaces and the urban environment.
The pace of development in these residential sectors will be measured by the timely provision of essential infrastructure and civic facilities, including usable roads and services required by residents.
The CDA stated that it will continue development work across Islamabad to improve infrastructure and civic amenities.
