Apple is set to release a new foldable iPhone with a lower-than-expected starting price. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the device will be named the iPhone Duo, marking a departure from earlier rumors of the iPhone Fold and iPhone Ultra.

The iPhone Duo is expected to start with 256GB of storage and come in white and dark blue. It will utilize Apple’s A20 Pro chip and a new C2 modem, alongside two 48MP rear cameras and a 12MP front camera designed for video conferencing.

Other features include a magnetic hinge and support for the Apple Pencil. The device could go on sale as early as October, with higher-storage versions potentially costing around $3,000.

Apple is also expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at today’s event. Both phones will look almost identical to their predecessors, with the orange color option being replaced by a new burgundy red finish.

The Pro Max is rumored to feature a variable-aperture main camera, while both models will use the A20 Pro chip. They are expected to offer longer battery life and redesigned vapor chambers for improved heat management.

The Dynamic Island is expected to become smaller and support three live tasks simultaneously, compared with two on current models. Both phones are reportedly set to cost $100 more than their predecessors.

Apple is also making updates to its wearable devices. The Apple Watch Series 12 will bring back a ceramic option alongside new colors. The Apple Watch Ultra 4 will offer improved battery life and a redesigned Health app with a new Readiness app.

Apple is reportedly adding a privacy-focused feature that analyzes a user’s day and summarizes events, including conversations, without recording or storing audio or providing transcripts.

Meanwhile, the rumored AirPods with cameras have reportedly been delayed until next year. The AirPods 5, however, are still expected to debut today with dramatically improved noise cancellation.
