Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, inaugurated the Mosamiyat Flyover in Karachi on Sunday as part of the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani and Karachi Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad were present during the inauguration ceremony.

Memon highlighted the importance of the flyover as a key component of the Red Line project, which aims to improve public transportation in the city.

He stated that the flyover would be opened to the public within two days, following the completion of necessary protocols.

Memon acknowledged the challenges faced during the project, including rising inflation and increased costs of materials such as cement and petrol.

Despite these challenges, the government continued with the project through agreements and consultations with relevant institutions.

The minister credited the project team for completing the work swiftly, which he said had largely resolved commuting difficulties on University Road.

The Red Line BRT project, which includes station construction, is progressing rapidly, according to Memon.

The flyover is expected to enhance the efficiency of the BRT system and provide a safer and more convenient route for commuters.
