Fatima directed the administration to ensure uninterrupted relief for all registered citizens who meet the eligibility criteria, highlighting the importance of the scheme in easing the financial burden on lower-income households.

The Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme was launched to mitigate the impact of rising petrol prices, particularly amid higher global oil prices and tensions in the Middle East.

Under the scheme, eligible users of motorcycles, rickshaws, and other two and three-wheelers, as well as cars with engines up to 800cc, receive Rs. 100 per liter in relief, subject to monthly limits.

The scheme is managed through a digital Fuel Pass System, with registration and fuel tokens issued via SMS.

Fatima also ordered strict monitoring of petrol pumps accused of delaying or refusing to provide subsidized fuel under the scheme, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Citizens were encouraged to report any issues they faced during the registration process or while receiving fuel relief.

Eligible citizens only need to register once and do not have to repeat the process.
