The council has submitted video evidence of the performance as proof of the violation, and has directed Malik to submit a written explanation within two days.

If Malik fails to provide a satisfactory explanation, legal proceedings will be initiated against her.

This is not the first such notice served to the actress, as the Punjab Council of the Arts has cited a history of similar complaints against her.

As a condition of the notice, Malik is also required to submit an affidavit pledging to refrain from indecent performances in the future.

Additionally, a three-month performance ban is reportedly under consideration for the actress.

The council’s decision reflects its commitment to upholding the standards set by the Drama Act and ensuring that all performances adhere to the approved content.
