Director General of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, has directed strict implementation of anti-dengue measures during the ongoing monsoon season. He warned that no negligence will be tolerated in preventing the breeding of dengue larvae.

During a meeting at the FDA Complex, he emphasized full compliance with directives issued by the Punjab government and stressed the need for effective and result-oriented surveillance activities to protect citizens from dengue threats.

The FDA director general conducted a detailed inspection of various sections of the complex, including office rooftops and water storage tanks. He directed officials to carry out regular inspections at all sites where rainwater could accumulate or where larvae might breed.

Muhammad Asif Chaudhry assigned eight focal persons for the anti-dengue campaign and instructed them to conduct daily field inspections and submit regular reports on their activities. He urged officials to promptly identify potential risks and ensure timely preventive action.

He also emphasized the importance of public awareness programmes on preventive measures against dengue larvae and mosquito breeding, urging continued implementation in both FDA’s jurisdiction and private housing schemes.

The director general directed close coordination and full cooperation with the district administration and Health department to ensure successful implementation of the anti-dengue campaign. He stressed that all precautionary and preventive measures should be implemented according to standing instructions.

While reviewing dengue surveillance activities, he highlighted the need for comprehensive preventive measures and effective monitoring to protect citizens from the threat of dengue during the monsoon season.
