Pakistani Ministers Highlight Opportunities at Pak-China B2B Investment Conference

Federal Minister for Board or Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, along with Federal Minister for NHSR&C, Syed Mustafa Kamal, and SAPM for Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, recently addressed a press conference to discuss the Pak-China B2B Investment Conference. The event aims to strengthen bilateral business ties between Pakistan and China through collaborative investment opportunities.

During the press conference held at the Press Information Department Media Center, the ministers highlighted several key areas of potential collaboration. These include infrastructure development, technology transfer, and joint ventures in manufacturing sectors. Minister Sheikh stated that the conference would provide a platform for Pakistani businesses to explore new markets and partnerships with their Chinese counterparts.

Minister Kamal further elaborated on the importance of such conferences in fostering economic growth. He noted that China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) offers significant opportunities for Pakistan, particularly in terms of infrastructure projects and technology integration. 'We are keen to leverage these initiatives to enhance our industrial capabilities and create more job opportunities,' he said.

Haroon Akhtar Khan, the SAPM for Industries and Production, emphasized the need for a conducive environment for businesses. He assured that the government is committed to creating favorable conditions for investors from both countries. 'Our focus is on streamlining regulatory processes and providing support services to ensure smooth operations for all participants,' he added.

The press conference also saw representatives from various industries expressing their enthusiasm about the potential benefits of the Pak-China B2B Investment Conference. A representative from the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) stated, 'This is a golden opportunity for our businesses to tap into China's vast market and technological advancements.'

The event is expected to attract significant attention from both domestic and international investors. According to official estimates, over 100 companies are anticipated to participate in the conference, representing diverse sectors such as textiles, electronics, and automotive manufacturing.

Ministers also discussed plans for follow-up meetings and workshops to facilitate deeper engagement between Pakistani and Chinese businesses. These sessions will focus on addressing common challenges and exploring specific investment projects. 'We believe that through sustained efforts, we can achieve substantial progress in our economic cooperation,' concluded Minister Sheikh.
