In the event of a lost passport, the cost for a first replacement ranges from 3,000 to 12,000 baht, depending on the passport's specifications. For a second lost passport, the cost ranges from 6,000 to 24,000 baht. The cost for a third or fourth lost passport will be determined by applicable rules and requires approval from the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports headquarters in Islamabad.

The new fee structure aims to streamline the process and ensure fair pricing for all applicants. The embassy has emphasized the importance of these changes in maintaining the security and efficiency of the e-passport system.

The announcement was made on 25 October 2026, and the new fees will take effect immediately. The embassy has encouraged all applicants to familiarize themselves with the new fee schedule to avoid any delays in processing.

The new fee structure is designed to cover the costs associated with the production and processing of e-passports, as well as the administrative expenses for handling lost passports. The embassy has stated that the fees are based on a comprehensive review of the costs involved in the process.

The new fee schedule is expected to benefit both regular and urgent applicants, ensuring that the e-passport system remains accessible and efficient for all Pakistani citizens traveling abroad.

For further information, applicants are advised to contact the Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok directly or visit their official website for the latest updates.
