XPENG, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to launch its next-generation AI flagship SUV, the G9L, in Pakistan next month, marking the entry of a technologically advanced model into the local market.
The G9L, which was unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, is part of XPENG’s expanding global lineup and will join other premium models already available in Pakistan.
The SUV is designed to offer a blend of cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence, ultra-fast charging capabilities, and rear-wheel steering, making it a standout in the market.
Measuring 5,120 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,788 mm in height, the G9L is a large SUV with a 3,100 mm wheelbase. Despite its size, the vehicle is equipped with rear-wheel steering, which helps reduce the turning radius to around 5.5 meters.
The G9L also features dual-chamber air suspension and adaptive damping, enhancing its maneuverability and comfort. The exterior design is minimalist, with a wide stance, smooth body surfacing, and slim lighting elements.
XPENG offers several exterior colors, including Arctic White, Diamond Black, Mirror Gray, and Waving Green, with the Chinese lineup including Provence Purple.
The G9L is available in both battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV/EREV) powertrains. For Europe, the G9L uses a 110 kWh NCM battery, with the rear-wheel-drive Long Range version producing 270 kW and offering up to 591 km of WLTP range.
The AWD Performance version raises output to 430 kW, with 695 Nm of torque, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.9 seconds and a WLTP range of up to 553 km.
One of the G9L’s most notable features is its ultra-fast charging capability. The SUV uses an 800V electrical architecture with 5C ultra-fast charging technology, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 11.7 minutes under suitable conditions.
