Xiaomi Global Redmi Note 17 Pro Set to Offer Lower Memory Options

Xiaomi Global Redmi Note 17 Pro Set to Offer Lower Memory Options

Key Takeaways

  • A new listing in the NBD import and export database suggests Xiaomi is preparing a global version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro.
  • The global model may offer lower base memory options compared to its Chinese counterpart.
  • Xiaomi may also sell a rebranded Poco version of the phone.

According to recent listings in the NBD import and export database, Xiaomi is preparing for the global release of the Redmi Note 17 Pro. The new model, identified by the model number 2607DRA18G, indicates a potential reduction in memory options compared to its Chinese version.

The Chinese version of the phone, launched earlier this week, features higher specifications including a larger battery, more RAM and storage configurations, and a high refresh rate display. In contrast, the global model is reported to offer only 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of storage respectively.

The listings also show that shipments are planned for Pakistan and Vietnam, with records dated May 16 and May 25, 2026. This suggests that the global Redmi Note 17 Pro may be launched soon, though specific details such as pricing and market availability remain unconfirmed.

Additionally, a related Poco-branded device has also been spotted in the same database with the model number 2607DPC18G. The 'RA' designation of the Redmi Note 17 Pro is replaced by 'PC', likely indicating a rebranding under the Poco name. However, the final marketing name for this variant remains to be confirmed.

Xiaomi’s recent naming strategy has previously caused confusion. A device linked to the Redmi Note 17 was initially expected to launch as the Poco M8 Plus but later firmware details pointed to a different name instead. This suggests that Xiaomi may use similar tactics again for the global release of the Redmi Note 17 Pro.

The battery capacity is another point of interest, with reports suggesting that the global variant could have an 8,340mAh rated battery, marketed as typical 8,500mAh. This would be lower than the 9,000mAh battery used in the Chinese model. The Indian version, however, is rumored to retain the same high capacity battery.

Despite these details, Xiaomi has not officially announced any launch date for the global Redmi Note 17 Pro. The database listing indicates that preparations are underway but more information on memory options, Poco branding, pricing, and market availability remains unconfirmed.
