PMDC Extends Application Deadline for AJK Students in MDCAT 2026

Key Takeaways

  • The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has provided relief to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) students.
  • Candidates can now submit their applications in hard copy, with a bank draft of Rs. 13,000.
  • Applications must be submitted by July 23, 2026.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced an extension for candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) who were unable to register through the online portal for MDCAT 2026. The council has allowed these students to submit their applications in hard copy, providing a much-needed relief measure.

According to a public notice issued on July 20, 2026, the facility is specifically available to AJK domicile holders who were unable to complete their registration through the PM&DC online portal. The council has emphasized that this extension is only for those candidates who faced difficulties with the online process.

To apply, candidates are required to submit their application in hard form along with a bank draft of Rs. 13,000 in favor of PM&DC Islamabad and all relevant documents. These documents must be sent to the Examination Department at the PM&DC Head Office located at G-10/4, Mauve Area, Islamabad.

The notice further states that applications should be forwarded by July 23, 2026, during office hours. For any queries or additional information, candidates are advised to contact the PM&DC Examination Department at 051-9190000 (Extension 302).

This move by the PM&DC is aimed at ensuring that no student from AJK faces undue hardship due to technical issues during the registration process. The council has taken a proactive step to accommodate all eligible candidates, thereby maintaining fairness in the application process.

The extension of this facility for hard-copy applications reflects the PM&DC’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, especially considering the unique circumstances faced by students from AJK.
