Speaking during a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti at Zardari House in Islamabad on Saturday, Mr Bhutto-Zardari emphasized that lasting peace could be achieved through dialogue.

Bhutto-Zardari paid tribute to the personnel of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police who were recently martyred in terrorist attacks. He expressed solidarity with their families and praised CM Bugti's efforts in addressing grievances and facilitating peaceful resolutions of protests.

The PPP chairman also appreciated the role played by opposition parties in making the dialogue process successful. He reiterated his party’s unwavering stance against terrorism, stating that the PPP would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with state institutions and people in the fight against militancy.

During the meeting, CM Bugti highlighted the comprehensive steps taken by the provincial government to support families affected by the Ziarat tragedy. These measures include addressing their concerns and fulfilling their legitimate demands. The establishment of a judicial fact-finding commission is seen as a significant step towards transparency and accountability in resolving the incident.

The upcoming multiparty conference, according to CM Bugti, will bring together various political forces to work towards a common goal of peace and stability in Balochistan. This initiative aims to foster unity among different factions and ensure that all voices are heard in the dialogue process.

The PPP has always believed in constructive engagement with all political forces, regardless of whether they are in government or the opposition.
