The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has significantly boosted remuneration for thousands of teachers who perform examination duties across the city. According to a statement, the daily allowance for superintendents has been increased by 50 percent from Rs. 1,560 to Rs. 2,340.

Deputy superintendents will now receive an additional Rs. 540 per day, with their allowance rising from Rs. 1,260 to Rs. 1,800. Similarly, invigilation staff have seen a boost in their daily pay, increasing from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500.

The board has also raised the allowances for mobile inspectors and distributor inspectors by 45 percent, with mobile inspectors now receiving Rs. 1,620 per day compared to the previous Rs. 1,080, while distributor inspectors will earn Rs. 1,800 instead of Rs. 1,200.

Practical examiners have experienced the largest increase in their allowances, with a rise from Rs. 1,540 to Rs. 2,310 per day, marking a significant boost of nearly 50 percent. These changes reflect an effort by BISE Lahore to acknowledge and reward teachers for their crucial role during examination periods.

Controller of Examinations Tauseef ur Rehman stated that the increase is intended to recognize the hard work, integrity, and valuable contribution of these educators in ensuring fair and efficient examinations. He emphasized that this move aims to motivate teachers to continue performing their duties with dedication and professionalism.

The revised rates are expected to enhance teacher satisfaction and commitment during examination periods, potentially leading to better conduct and supervision of exams. The new allowances will be effective immediately for all those involved in the upcoming examination cycle.
