Queensland police arrested Sam Wood, a 46-year-old Victorian man, following reports of alleged domestic violence at a Noosa address on Saturday night. The charges brought against Wood include assaulting occasioning bodily harm and strangulation.
Wood was subsequently charged with domestic violence. Authorities confirmed that Sam Wood was arrested in Noosa.
Wood is expected to appear before the Maroochydore magistrates court on Monday. In response to the incident, 28 Group stated zero tolerance for domestic violence, according to Mark Watkin.
Furthermore, Wood was placed on indefinite leave from his duties. On Monday, Sam Wood and Snezana Wood released a joint statement.
