Adani Enterprises, the flagship firm of India’s Adani group, is set to raise approximately 20 billion rupees ($210 million) through the issuance of short-duration bonds, according to two merchant bankers familiar with the transaction.

The funds are intended for general corporate purposes, as stated by the bankers, who requested anonymity due to their lack of authorization to speak to the media.

In a related development, CareEdge Ratings recently upgraded Adani Enterprises' long-term rating by one notch to AA from AA-, reflecting the company's improved financial risk profile.

The company's most recent debt issuance occurred in October 2025, when it raised 10 billion rupees through the sale of bonds maturing in two years and six months at a semi-annual coupon of 8.70%.

Adani Enterprises did not respond to a Reuters email seeking comment on the planned fundraise.

The fundraise comes at a time when the Indian regulator is pressing ahead with investigations against Adani Group, including Hindenburg, in a case that has garnered significant attention.
