Nothing’s CMF brand has introduced two new portable Bluetooth speakers, the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M, designed to offer advanced features and long battery life.
The CMF Speaker S, priced at $59, uses a 45mm full-range driver and two passive radiators, producing up to 10W RMS output with a frequency response of 70Hz to 20kHz.
Despite being the smaller model, the CMF Speaker S supports the same core connectivity and sound-processing features as the Speaker M.
The CMF Speaker M, priced at $109, significantly increases audio output with a dedicated 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter, providing a total output of 35W RMS.
Its frequency response extends from 60Hz to 20kHz, offering deeper bass capability than the Speaker S.
Both speakers use CMF’s Adaptive Tuning algorithm, which continuously analyzes playback and adjusts output and EQ in real time.
Users can activate Ultra Bass mode or Wide Soundstage mode, and the Nothing X app provides four additional EQ presets: Balanced, More Bass, More Treble, Voice, Stereo, and Party Modes.
The speakers support Stereo Mode, allowing two identical models to work together as a stereo pair, and Party Mode, CMF’s implementation of Auracast.
Both models support Bluetooth 6.0, NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair, and can remain connected to two source devices simultaneously.
Physical controls include a tactile rotary knob for direct control over playback, separate buttons for power, Bluetooth pairing, and Auracast.
Both the Speaker S and Speaker M are rated for up to 18 hours of playback at 50% volume with Ultra Bass enabled. A 10-minute charge provides around one hour of playback.
The CMF Speaker M also includes USB-C audio connectivity, allowing a wired digital audio connection in addition to Bluetooth.
