A delegation of senior officers from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) visited the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in Lahore on Thursday to explore areas of cooperation in information technology and digital governance.

The visit was led by AJK Secretary IT Muhammad Rashid Hanif and included a detailed briefing on Punjab’s IT and digital governance initiatives.

PITB Director General e-Governance Sajid Latif chaired the meeting, which also involved additional directors and other relevant officers from PITB.

The delegation was briefed on key digital initiatives such as Maryam Ke Dastak, PITB Web Presence, PM Performance Dashboard, and PayZen.

Discussions also focused on AJK’s Prime Minister Complaint Cell, digital government services, and merit-based recruitment systems.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf highlighted the vast opportunities for cooperation between Punjab and AJK in IT and e-Governance.

The delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on ‘Sum Up-100-Day Priority Projects and Way Forward’, highlighting key initiatives for digital governance.

Later, the delegation visited the PITB Data Centre, where they were briefed on data management, IT infrastructure, and security systems.

The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between PITB officials and the AJK delegation, marking the end of the productive meeting.
