The Directorate General of Customs (DGC) valued toys and accessories imported into Karachi, Islamabad & Lahore at revised rates under a new valuation ruling. The change comes amidst evolving market conditions that have necessitated this review.
Announced on July 28th as Ruling No.’2085 of 2026′, the revision is set to affect importers who bring goods from Europe, Canada, Japan, USA and China. The DGC had been using Valuation Ruling No.’1669-2022’ previously.
The valuations for a vast array of imported items varied widely due in part to differences in categories/specifications, functions & qualities as well as international market dynamics. This ruling seeks standardization and accuracy within the customs sector by aligning values with current global prices, import trends.
