Early in the morning, EPBD Chairman Dr. Gohar Ejaz gathered industry leaders and economists at a private event where he revealed Pakistan’s first-ever ‘Shadow Policy Documents’. These documents propose sweeping structural reforms aimed to break free from economic instability by reducing taxes on businesses & individuals, promoting export growth for up to 8.5% GDP increase.
Amidst applause and supportive nods
Ejaz stressed the significance of these alternative policies as a citizen-centered approach contrasting with current government strategies, calling them ‘a beacon of hope’. The documents were well received but will need strong political backing to influence real change.
