The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued a statement announcing scheduled power outages in various parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum on Thursday. The utility company is undertaking these measures to facilitate routine maintenance and development work.
In the Islamabad Circle, electricity supply will be suspended from 6:00 am to 10:00 am for areas served by the Kurri, Rehara, CM Pak Zong, and IT Park feeders. Similarly, in the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power will remain unavailable between 6:00 am and 10:00 am in regions connected to the LTC, New Mandra, Old Mandra, Hamid Jhangi, Old Rawat, New Rawat, AOWHS, Suparco, and CWO feeders.
Consumers in the Jhelum Circle will also face power outages from 6:00 am to 10:00 am for areas supplied through the Hayat Sir Road, Karyala, Metro City, Grand City, and Bolani feeders. In the GSO Circle, electricity will be suspended from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm in regions connected to the Cap. Nasir, Col. Akram, Mangla Cantt, Dina-3, and Dina-4 feeders.
IESCO has also announced that power supply on the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila line will be suspended from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, while the 132kV Sangjani-Burhan lines and related areas will remain without electricity between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. The 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri line and its surrounding areas will also experience outages from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The utility company has assured consumers that power supply would be restored before the scheduled time if maintenance work is completed earlier than expected. IESCO expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by these temporary disruptions and urged consumers to plan their activities accordingly.
IESCO advises residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions, such as ensuring adequate lighting and backup power sources are available during the outages. The company has also requested that businesses prepare contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
