Key Takeaways

  • The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will auction commercial plots and properties starting August 4, 2026.
  • Investor-friendly measures include a dedicated facilitation team and reduced payment charges during construction.
  • A 10% rebate is offered for early payment in US dollars.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced an upcoming three-day auction of commercial plots and other properties in Islamabad, scheduled to commence on August 4, 2026. The event will take place at the Jinnah Convention Centre and is expected to attract a wide range of investors.

According to CDA officials, the auction will feature various types of properties including commercial plots located in Marakaz, Blue Area, I&T Center G-11, E-11 Northern Strip, as well as apartments, luxury apartments, petrol pump sites, agro-farms and shops within parking plazas. The auction is set to run from 10:00 am on August 4th through the 6th.

To make the process more investor-friendly, CDA has introduced several measures aimed at streamlining the transaction. These include a dedicated facilitation team that will assist potential buyers throughout the auction and construction phases. Additionally, building plans can be approved after only 25% of the payment is made, with no site or marketing office charges during the approved construction period.

For those looking to secure their plots quickly, CDA has also offered a significant incentive: a 10% rebate on total payments made within one month. This includes an additional 5% rebate for those who choose to pay in US dollars. Brochures detailing the auction and available properties will be distributed from July 20, 2026, at the One Window Directorate, designated bank branches, and through CDA’s official website.

The auction is seen as a significant opportunity for both local and international investors looking to capitalize on the growing commercial landscape in Islamabad. With the introduction of these investor-friendly measures, it is anticipated that the event will attract substantial interest from property developers and business owners.

CDA officials have emphasized the importance of transparency and ease of transaction during this process. They stated, 'Our goal is to make the auction as smooth and accessible as possible for all participants.' This commitment to facilitating a seamless experience underscores CDA’s dedication to fostering economic growth in Islamabad.
