The Saudi-led coalition intercepted six drones launched towards the kingdom, including in the Madina region, according to a statement by coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki.

Within Yemen, the Houthis claimed an attack on a military camp near the airport in the southern city of Aden, where the Yemeni government is based.

A government military source and a local official told Reuters that the group also attacked Riyan airport in the southeastern coastal city of Mukalla.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group had targeted 'military equipment transported by the Saudi-led coalition via military cargo planes to Al Rayyan airport.'

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced that Cairo would provide military support to defend Saudi territory, but the support would not include an attack on Yemen.

Al-Qahera News, closely linked to state intelligence, reported that Sisi said the stability of the Gulf concerns Egypt's national security.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that any interference in the Yemen war by Egypt or any other country would make the situation more difficult.
